This is a good set for the price. I filled the base with sand and it is very stable. The backboard frame is all plastic, even what looks like foam padding on the bottom of the frame in the picture. No metal frame, which I was a little disappointed about when I opened the box, but understandable for the price. All in all it serves its purpose, and my sons and I are having fun with it. I was missing small plug for the base when I assembled it. I called the manufacturer's phone # listed on the instructions and they sent out the part right away. Quality customer service is appreciated.Assembly was easy, took about 2 hrs. Plus 1 hour of getting the sand in the small holes on the base, I cut a 2 liter in half and used it as a funnel. Worked OK, and it was free. Good, clear instructions.
